For more than 30 years, Baxter has been facilitating automated fluid transfers with the aim of improving accuracy and increasing the efficiency of pharmacy operations. Our peristaltic Repeater Pharmacy Pump performs automated multi-speed fluid transfers that promote accuracy at volumes as low as 0.2 ml (±10%) and relieve pharmacy technicians of repetitive manual tasks.1
VERSATILE SYSTEM FOR MULTIPLE APPLICATIONS
Supporting any size pharmacy, Baxter’s Repeater Pharmacy Pump is easy to set up and can accommodate a wide range of applications:
- Drug reconstitution with a diluent
- Intravenous (IV) admixing of two or more drugs
- Transfer and filling of IV bags and syringes, elastomeric devices and oral syringes
- Pooling – aspiration of a drug into an empty collection bag when pump is set to “reverse”
These procedures are performed using a variety of accessories, including fluid transfer tube sets, connectors, a syringe filling fixture, a pneumatic foot pedal and a bag pole.
PUMP DESIGN FEATURES TO ENHANCE FUNCTIONALITY
The Repeater Pharmacy Pump offers several features that enhance the way it functions:
- Designed to transfer fluids at volumes from 0.2 ml to 9.999 ml at flow rates up to 13.5 ml per second with a 16-gauge needle1
- Drawback feature to relieve line pressure and prevent fluid drippage between fills
- Interval mode to avoid pressing start/stop repeatedly
- Powerful motor with 27 speed combinations (including reverse mode), enabling it to pump viscous fluids and fill elastomeric infusors1
- 20-cell memory storage for commonly used pump settings to standardise repeated applications1
PLACEMENT FLEXIBILITY WITH COMPACT DEVICE
The small footprint of the Repeater Pharmacy Pump offers flexibility of placement:
- Fits within a standard laminar flow hood or biological safety cabinet
- Mounts on an available pump stand to support it outside the sterile work area and save valuable hood space
